===== The Core =====

The World of Kyeen is vast and unexplored, featuring many different civilizations and lost continents such as the mysterious dark continent of Ma’Cebrea and the exotic lands of Enquaria. Although action and adventure can be found around every corner in Kyeen, most of the Kyeen campaign setting is focused within the region known as the Core.
The Core of Kyeen refers to the most prominent and collectively influential civilizations of Kyeen. It is spread across four continents: Ataria, Reltere, Gu’Ares, and Lythica. These continents have been divided up into the Old World and the New World. 

==== The New World ====

The southern and eastern hemispheres of Kyeen are collectively called the new world by scholars and historians of the Core. The new world includes the continents of Ataria and Reltere.

Ataria is the wild frontier of Kyeen. Although as ancient as any part of the world, much of the continent's history was lost in the Age of Darkness and remains a mystery. Until the arrival of humans from Lythica to the continent, many of the Atarian natives survived in tribal communities.

The resource-rich continent of Reltere is the contended prize land of the Core. Pirates, mercenaries, and merchants come to this land seeking their fortunes, while the two native orc tribes war with each other to complete their sacred war.  

==== The Old World ====

The northern and eastern hemispheres of the Core are often referred to as the Old World. The ancient lands of Gu’ Ares and Lythica comprise the continents of the the Old World in the Core.

Since the dawn of the Age of Light, Lythica has been viewed as the old world. Considered an ancient and very dangerous part of the world, Lythica has been the staging ground for many world-changing events as well as the rise of human civilization. Many years ago the landscaped was changed forever by unwieldy magic, unleashed by mages from the legendary city of Etharia which triggred the Disjunctioning. This catastrophic event forever changed the face of Lythica and that of the world forever, ushering in the Age of Darkness.
