====== Shifter ====== Shifters are fierce hunters strongly influenced by their lycanthropic heritage. Making their home in the jungles of Viridia, shifters rely on their feral instincts and savage cunning for survival. ====== Racial Traits ====== * echo "+2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma:"; Shifters have keen senses, with feral dispositions to match. Shifters have additional ability modifiers dependent on their chosen bloodline: * echo "Feline:"; +2 Dexterity * echo "Lupine:"; +2 Strength * echo "Ursine:"; +2 Constitution * echo "Shapechanger:"; Shifters are treated as humanoids with the shapechanger subtype. * echo "Medium:"; As medium creatures, shifters have no bonuses or penalties due to their size. * echo "Speed:"; Shifter base speed is 30 feet. * echo "Low-Light Vision:"; A shifter can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and other areas of poor illumination. He retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions. * echo "Skills:"; Shifters gain a +2 racial bonus on all Athletics and Survival checks. * echo "Shifting (Su):"; A shifter can tap into their lycanthropic bloodline in order to gain powerful physical traits. Once per day as a swift action, a shifter can enter a state similar to a barbarian’s rage. Shifting lasts for a number of rounds equal to 3 + the shifter’s Con modifier (if increased by shifting, use the improved modifier). The benefits granted by the shifting ability are dependent on the shifter’s chosen bloodline: * echo "Feline:"; While shifting, a feline shifter gains a +2 bonus to Dexterity, a +10 ft. bonus to land speed, and natural weapons in the form of two claw attacks that inflict 1d4 + Str damage, +1 per four character levels. * echo "Lupine:"; While shifting, a lupine shifter gains a +2 bonus to Strength, a secondary bite attack that deals 1d6 + Str damage, +1 per four character levels, and the scent ability. * echo "Ursine:"; While shifting, an ursine shifter gains a +2 bonus to Constitution, +2 natural armor, and a +4 bonus on grapple checks.
